You walk out of a pub in Prague at night and think: "WHERE IS THE METRO?"
That's exactly why KdeJeMetro.cz exists.

Find your way around the Prague Metro
KdeJeMetro.cz helps you find the nearest Prague Metro entrance using your device location. It compares individual entrances and shows their distance and estimated walking time. You can then open walking directions in Google Maps, Apple Maps or Mapy.com.
The app works with individual metro entrances rather than only the centre of each station. This is especially useful at large interchange stations, where different exits may be several minutes apart.
How it works
- Allow location access
- Choose the nearest entrance
- Open walking directions
We do not store your location or associate it with your identity. It is sent once to Mapy.com to calculate the walking route.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the nearest Prague Metro entrance?
Once you allow location access, the app instantly shows the three nearest Prague Metro entrances, sorted by distance from your device.
Does the app show individual metro entrances?
Yes. KdeJeMetro.cz works with individual station entrances rather than just the station centre, so at large interchange stations you'll find the closest of several exits.
Is the displayed distance a walking route?
In Prague, the app first shows the distance as the crow flies and then refines it in the background to the actual walking route via Mapy.com. Outside Prague, or if refining isn't possible, the distance stays calculated as the crow flies — the app always clearly labels which one you're seeing. The precise route (geometry) still only appears once you open directions in Google Maps, Apple Maps or Mapy.com.
Does KdeJeMetro.cz store my location?
No, we do not store your location or associate it with your identity. It is sent once to Mapy.com to calculate the actual walking route.
How can I open walking directions?
Tap the Google Maps, Apple Maps or Mapy.com button next to any entrance to open walking directions straight to its GPS coordinates.
Does Brno have a metro?
No, Brno doesn't have a metro. If you're near Brno, the app will playfully let you know and show the distance to the nearest Prague Metro instead.
Where is the nearest pub?
That's not something KdeJeMetro.cz covers — for that, use our sister app KdeJeHospoda.cz, which finds the three nearest pubs, bars or beer gardens based on your location the same way.
